Study of Forensic Science


Forensic science is study of application of science and Technology in search of truth in regulatory and even non-litigious or civil and criminal matters. As the crime detection is now based on scientific technology so scientists can perform the role for converting investigation to its final result

                            


This stream of science deals in answering a wide range of unknown questions in a criminal and civil action to serve in legal investigations. It uses scientific technology to uncover all the mysteries of crime scenes. This stream is a professional mainly laboratory based and aids in investigating evidences that can be find against the suspect at crime scene by using small clues and specimens like saliva, fingerprints, foot prints, hair, blood traces and other specimens. These scientist works with police or other investigation authorities to provide evidences in court. This field is includes understanding of fire, explosion, accidents and other secretive high security operations.
At present there is a huge shortage of forensic experts and professionals hence the number of experts are needed for leading critical part in Criminal Justice Delivery System. This department is a part of quality education and based on researches and developmental work in various fields of forensic science. There are number of universities in India that provides a three year bachelors courses in Forensic sciences and two years of master courses. 
                                 

The objective of these courses is to provide the students theoretical, practical and experimental foundation for gaining specialized skills that empowers the knowledge of new crime investigating methods.
At present there are highly specialized training in this fields are being offered such as anti cyber terrorism, cyber forensic, cyber security, and anti cyber warfare. The course that are offered in this field include:-
